This Privacy Policy explains how Beavers Charity (“Beavers Charity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and safeguards Personal Information when you interact with our website and related online and offline offerings, including our donation and ticket checkout flows, fundraising campaigns, event pages and registrations, volunteer and contact forms, communications, and other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

 

Our website and certain Service functions are hosted and delivered through the Wix.com Ltd. platform. As a result, some information is collected and processed through Wix’s systems when you visit our site, submit forms, register for events, or complete payments through Wix-supported checkout experiences. Wix’s own data practices are described in Wix’s Privacy Policy and related compliance materials. 

 

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Scope & Definitions

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who interact with Beavers Charity, including donors, prospective donors, ticket purchasers, event attendees, participants, volunteers, applicants, sponsors, vendors, newsletter subscribers, and website visitors. “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. “Sensitive Personal Information,” where defined by law, may include certain government identifiers, precise geolocation, account credentials, or similar categories; Beavers Charity does not intentionally request or require Sensitive Personal Information for ordinary donations or general event participation unless a specific program or legal requirement necessitates it, in which case we will provide additional notice at collection.

How Information Is Collected

Beavers Charity collects information in several primary ways: (a) when you provide it directly to us through the Services, including Wix forms, Wix Events registration forms, donation or ticket checkout pages, and communications; (b) when information is collected automatically through website technologies such as cookies and server logs when you visit or use our site; and (c) when we receive information from service providers that support our operations, including payment processors, fundraising and event tools, and communications vendors.

 

Wix Events functionality can be configured to collect buyer and guest/attendee information through registration forms, and Wix also allows organizers to view purchaser history and buyer information, while guest details for individual tickets may be stored within the Events guest management areas depending on configuration. 

Information You Provide To Us

When you donate, register for an event, purchase tickets, submit a contact request, apply to volunteer, or otherwise interact with Beavers Charity, we may collect Personal Information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any message content you submit. For events, we may also collect attendee details required to administer the registration, ticketing, check-in, waivers, accessibility needs you voluntarily disclose, emergency contact details if requested for a specific event, and other information you provide through the registration form.

 

We may collect donation and transaction details such as the donation amount, date, recurrence preference, ticket type(s), quantities, discounts or promo codes (if any), receipt or confirmation identifiers, and information necessary to issue acknowledgments and tax receipts.

Payment Information & Processing

Payments made through our Wix-supported checkout experiences are processed through Wix’s payments infrastructure or through third-party payment providers you select at checkout, depending on our configuration and your location. Wix indicates that transactions may be processed through processors such as Adyen, Stripe, Inc., PayPal Holdings, Inc., or their affiliates, and that Wix and its processors may share information with certain third parties in connection with payment processing and related services. 

 

Beavers Charity typically does not receive or store your full card number or full payment credentials. Instead, we generally receive confirmations and limited details necessary to record the transaction and issue receipts, such as the payment status, transaction identifiers, and partial card details (for example, last four digits), depending on the payment method and processor.

Automatically Collected Website & Device Information

When you visit our website, information may be collected automatically through cookies, pixels, SDKs, server logs, and similar technologies. This may include your IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and date/time stamps. Some of this collection is performed through Wix’s platform functionality, and some may be performed through apps or integrations we enable within Wix.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from third parties that support our mission and operations. This can include payment confirmation information from processors, registration data from event tools, email engagement information from communications tools, and matching-gift or sponsorship information from corporate partners. We may also receive publicly available information or information from social media platforms where you interact with our pages, subject to your settings and those platforms’ policies.

Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, maintain session integrity, prevent fraud, remember preferences, understand how visitors use our site, and improve performance. Wix sites may use cookies and related technologies as part of standard site functionality, and Wix provides privacy and cookie compliance tools (such as cookie banners) that site owners may configure. 

 

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, portions of the Services may not function as intended, including certain checkout, registration, or logged-in experiences.

How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information for mission-related and operational purposes, including to process donations and ticket purchases, deliver receipts and confirmations, administer events (including registration, guest lists, attendance tracking, and communications), respond to inquiries, provide donor and participant support, maintain organizational records, and communicate with you about programs, fundraising initiatives, and upcoming events.

 

We also use Personal Information to operate, secure, and improve the Services, including troubleshooting, analytics, testing, and quality assurance; to prevent and investigate fraud or misuse; to comply with legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and charity compliance obligations); and to enforce our policies and protect the rights, property, and safety of Beavers Charity and others.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose Personal Information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and consistent with applicable law.

 

We disclose information to service providers that perform functions on our behalf. In our Wix-based environment, these service providers may include Wix as our website hosting and site-services provider, payment processors and payment method providers enabled through Wix, event registration and ticketing tools within Wix Events, communications and email delivery tools available through Wix or integrated apps, analytics providers, and IT/security vendors. 

 

We may disclose limited information to sponsors, partners, venues, or participating organizations when necessary to administer an event, coordinate participation, comply with venue safety requirements, or provide sponsor benefits, provided that such disclosures are limited to what is reasonably necessary and consistent with notices given at collection.

 

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to respond to lawful requests by public authorities; to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Beavers Charity, our donors, participants, volunteers, and the public; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

 

We may disclose de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for reporting, analytics, and mission-related purposes.

 

Beavers Charity does not sell Personal Information in exchange for money. If we use analytics or advertising tools that could be interpreted under certain state privacy laws as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will provide and honor legally required opt-out rights where applicable and where such tools are implemented in our environment.

Donor Recognition & Public Acknowledgment

Unless you request anonymity or limitation of recognition, we may acknowledge donors and sponsors by name in materials such as event programs, websites, or annual reports. We do not publish personal contact details for donor recognition without permission. If you prefer to remain anonymous or restrict how your name is displayed, you may contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section, and we will honor reasonable requests consistent with legal and operational requirements.

Communications Preferences

We may send administrative communications necessary to provide the Services, including donation receipts, ticket confirmations, event updates, and policy notices. We may also send newsletters and fundraising or program communications. You may opt out of promotional email communications using the unsubscribe link included in those messages or by contacting us. Opting out of promotional communications will not stop essential administrative communications.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action consistent with applicable law.

Data Security & Retention

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. However, no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials you use to access any account-based features, if offered.

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining donation and transaction records, administering events, complying with tax and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and supporting our mission. Retention periods may vary based on the nature of the information and legal requirements. Wix and other service providers may also retain information in accordance with their contractual and legal obligations, and Wix’s materials recognize retention concepts in the context of data protection compliance. 

Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain Personal Information, and to opt out of certain processing where required by law. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to requests, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights, although certain Services may be limited if information is required to provide them.

 

Because our Services operate on the Wix platform, some requests may require coordination with Wix tools and settings (for example, cookie banner preferences) or may be subject to limitations imposed by platform functionality. Wix provides compliance resources for site owners addressing privacy regulations such as the CCPA and GDPR.

Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may link to third-party websites or services, including social media platforms, sponsor sites, or external fundraising pages. This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party practices. Your interactions with third parties are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
